I know that when my house was vacant the only usage was one cfl 15 watt bulb just to keep a light on in the house. Electricity usage was $7 per month, total monthly bill was $63. This was Ontario Hydro rural residential rates.

Last summer when our solar panels were producing more electricity than we were using we were still billed $33.78 ($26.92 admin fee plus HST)
