I am no good for information. But I will being asking questions periodically as I get familiar with the car. this was a must have car for me, and my twin brother, as it was made the same year as us AND has the same last name! How cool is that.

I hope to get this vehicle into good/excellent condition over time. It is supposed to have a white top so I will change to white. the body colour is correct Butternut Yellow. Eventually (one year maybe?) its final home will be Kissimmee Florida! Floridians will go nuts over this 1968 Beaumont SD (not a Chevelle!).

Welcome here, and that is a beautiful car!

You are going to get a million questions about it from all of us here (at least that's my guess). 

To answer some of those questions, I would like to suggest that you submit pictures of your car to the site admin (Todd) along with as much story as you have about it including history, the purchase of it, your involvement with cars etc.

Hi Calvin. Good to be here. Actually, excellent to be here! Ive already discovered lots of information while browsing past posts.

The previous owner acquired documentation pertaining to this vehicle (see picture).

Ill reach out to Todd with information and as much as a story as I have. Really interesting is the why and what-for that I came about getting the car.

I was told it is in amazing condition, a survivor vehicle. It has gone through two paint jobs. original Butternut Yellow, then someone painted it dark green, then back again with a fairly decent paint job to Butternut Yellow.

I know the bare basics of knowledge working with engines, body work, etc.... . So I will be commissioning local talent to help me out. over time, through networking and gaining knowledge I hope to perform more and more of necessary upkeeps. but for now the experts should be handling this baby.

currently this vehicle is a driver. but I can put together some pictures that will do it more justice.

What information is more important?

Hi Adrian, i see you have the Vintage Vehicle docs, a valuable piece of info for our Canadian cars, so congrats again on your SD find! 

I love tinkering on my car even if I know enough to be dangerous lol, but others on here are a wealth of knowledge and always happy to share it so ask away. 

Wouid love to hear the story of how you acquired as I think I can speak for others that the stories about the people, history and emotions related to our cars is as important as the cars themselves.

Really Nice car! I find the black top better suits that color than the white (parchment) but either way looks nice.

btw on Canadian Pontiacs and Beaumonts (not sure about Acadians) they used the Pontiac rather than the chevy names for the paint colors (and also used the exclusive Pontiac colors of the year). So the actual name for your color wasn't Butternut (the chevy color) but Mayfair Maize.
