My 1969 427/390 4-spd convertible is coming along nicely (link below) but we're still desperate for a single 1969 427 emblem. I'm hoping someone who has a collectible one will consider parting with it since it's an original, documented car that somehow lost one over the years!
If you have an emblem, or a lead on an emblem, or have had an interesting dream about such an emblem that could be of use, please let me know!
My hand does not cramp when writing checks for NOS units, btw!
Sorry, that you are having a hard time finding just one emblem. I get that they are hard to find, but if I had one mounted on a display board, I would sell it to you. Rare emblems belong on rare cars, not in display cases, just my opinion. I hope someone helps you out, to make this ultra rare car complete. Did you ever find a usable nose cone?
If you run out of options, I'm wondering if it would be possible to have your existing emblem scanned and digitally 3-D printed in high resolution, to the point where it could be chromed and detail painted to look like the real deal. I know 3-D printing has come a long way and have seen some good quality stuff come out of them. Once the set-up is done, you could actually print several copies to have spares...
I do, I have a replica I had 3D printed from metal. It's close enough. But this is a real-deal car and I want a real-deal emblem. I wouldn't be so frustrated if people hadn't over the years posted pics of them on their pegboard, on their rec room walls, and so on

x2. This car DESERVES a factory emblem. I would trade you one from my car for a printed one, but the studs were cut off and emblem tape was used to attach them.
I would give you one, and pay for shipping, if I had one. A real emblem belongs on a real car.
I hadn't remembered that you already tried the 3D printing thing. I would think that an exact replica could be made given the state of today's technology, but I also know that it's not easy to do so. 3D printing is not user friendly yet, so it takes a highly skilled individual with lots of experience to do it well.
the guy who cast my 70 emblems live in cobourg and does the stuff for those pebble beach cars (Mike Butters 905-372-6926) ill try and post a pic later i dont have my phone and computer linked
Well, I found a spare set of Canadian rally caps, and a nearly-NOS Endura nose, but the 427 emblem still eludes me! If anyone has any leads, please let me know, I'm sort of running out of time!
