Can sombody help me decode the vin and model

I had what I believed to be a 1966 Pontiac Beaumont SD but not sure anymore.

Can sombody help me please.

Attached is a picture of the plate from the firewall.

The Vin number is 673617001218.

Plate numbers are 73617 A51 M35

Thanks this is confusing.

Hope you can help

Bert

6 = 1966

736 =  Beaumont Custom 8 cylinder

17 = 2 door hardtop

O = Oshawa plant

01218 = sequential VIN number

2 = Second shift

10 = 10th month (October)

28 = 28th day of the month

831725 = Sequential body number

H (?) paint code? Can't quite read it. If so, H is Palmetto Green (Edit...this morning when I look at the tag I clearly see "M" for Aztec Bronze. Must just have been too tired last night!)

393 = Ivory interior

A51 = Sports Option (Sport Deluxe)

M35 = Powerglide transmission

If the paint code is "N" then it was Burgundy.

So another question
Is the car a Beaumont Custom as the 736 states OR
Is it a Sport Deluxe as the A51 states.
I am not sure if it's a Custom or a Sports Deluxe
Thanks again
Bert

Paint code looks like an M, to me. Aztec Bronze.

 In 1966 and early 1967 models, all Sport Deluxes began life as a Custom and had option A51 added to make them a Sport Deluxe.

I moved this over to the appropriate section Bert.

Or should I call you Bert_Not_Custom?
