Nice conversion. GM should have built them.

These are unibodies, right?
Does anyone more familiar with the underside of these cars see any signs that its been stiffened to make up for loss of the roof?

 Correct.

It appears to have connectors for the front and rear, slightly visible in picture #28 and #29.

Its been a long time since I have seen a convertible, but in the late 70s a friend had a 1962 Acadian convertible and then a 1963 Nova convertible. Both of them always felt loose somehow on rougher pavement. The Acadian also had paint chipping at the top of the door opening where the door and 1/4 panel met. Its just my opinion but I dont think that there was any additional bracing on the convertible because of how they felt on the road. That may be why they were only built for two years.

Heres a couple of pictures of the convertible floors from Bring a Trailer auctions for comparison purposes.

I found where the frame connectors probably came from. Too bad that the factory hadnt done it in 1962. It sure would have made a huge improvement in the convertible.
