$600 2009 nissan navara

I wil be losing my workvan soon as I am now more in the office, off tools. Boss will be giving me a car allowance of $25000 a year for my own vehicle so needed to buy a car. Neighbour's wife popped a heater hose in their dual cab navara D40. just kept driving it and cooked it it about 4 years ago. Hubby pulled the motor, pulled some parts off it and that was how it stayed. Went over a while back and asked how much he wanted for it. $7000....no thanks.

so roll forward to about a month ago and went over again. He said not sure. We walked over and opened the door and it was all mouldy. We have had lots of rain and it had water getting in the cabin, probably leaf build up. I told him it was effed and I give him $500. He said $600 and it's a deal. So deal done.

dragged it over and stripped it internally and cleaned it out and treated the interior. Looks great. Had to buy a tub and canopy, luckily got the same colour! Canopy cost me $850, $3800 to buy new, tub cost $1500. Has receipts for new tyes just before parking up. Still have the rubber tags on the tread. He also remapped the ECU and fitted a stainless exhaust system.

ended up buying an exchange engine. $6500. Just busy swapping over all the bits. Reckon I'll be in for about $13000 by the time I get it on the road.

They sell for $20000 and that's with 200000kms on the clock. So busy changing the diesel engine parts over to the new engine.

Not sold here with a diesel, I always thought they would sell well, especially back when they were simpler had had no DEF fluid. Good work, patience paid off.
