This one Cam? Pulled out of that wet garage. Went to Belgium? Ontario never to be seen by us again.

It's somewhere.

To any '69 Pontiac fans, this is the length to which you have to go to save one of these babies unless you are blessed by a rare solid car. Few have the wallet, the talent, the space, the lucky connections, the tolerant spouse. You have to have a vision to drive the project forward. And a nice Endura nose in your stash. Or maybe you just want to get in and drive it!

This project makes me wonder about where and in what condition that gold '69 2+2 427 4-speed from years ago is? Remember from southern Ontario, Selkirk near the shores of Lake Erie IIRC? Barnacled, speckled but untouched since '76.
Rust never sleeps.

My body guy had a tough question for me,

What would happen if the 69, 2+2, 396, that you have been after for almost 40 years, suddenly came up for sale ?

'Well", I said, "there is no going back for me now."

I have not seen the owner for a few years, I hope he's doing well.

I drive by that barn at least once a month.

Not many people have been in that barn but that car has been there since 1984 and off the road since 1976.

Dark blue with black vinyl and black interior. A dream for someone to build.

We never know when or if any of these cars will show up again.

Maybe, I should hang on to all my spare parts for now wink

The 2+2 you posted above Mark has apparently been undergoing a frame off restoration in Brussels Ontario for the last several years.

I got to test dream this this 427 M20 fossil. This is an actual photo I took of it.

Yours's really appears to have some better potential Randy. And man, you're setting up to have something nice.

Dropped off a deposit for the M-20 build to my good friend the Engine and transmission guy.

I also took my Engine build receipt.

Of course, I drove the Cougar with the Transmission he rebuilt 29 years ago.

First thing he said was, "Competiton Engine Machine Inc in Winnipeg used all the right parts"

Then he pointed over to his bench.

"There is a set of Keith Black pistons right there"

001a.jpg

They are his favorite biggrin

Thanks, Howard, for making some great choices wink

Careful boys !

That's a nearly all original 350 4 gear Camero under there biggrin

002a.jpg

Since we decided to do the whole floor, the inner rockers should be replaced.

Dirt cheap in Canada at Golden Leaf but they did not have the right one in stock and could not tell us when it would come in.

Classic Industries to the rescue but at triple the price with delivery no

Car is now all by herself.

We decided to use Dynacorn Inner rocker panels as the originals were just too soft.

I'm only doing this once !

Most of the cut out is done.

I am so spoiled with the Convertible's original floors !

I tease the body man that it would have been easier to weld a roof on the convertible and drop the 427 in it.

At least the original 427 frame is solid.

It gets blasted in two weeks.
