I'm guessing the $412,000 Malibu SS must have been a Z16. The article is a bit deceiving if so because the 65 SS owners may now think they have a $400,000 car.

The only sites I trust for old car values is Hemmings, Hagerty and Bring a Trailer as all of them are involved in the selling and/or valuation of old cars.
