I really wonder if that is the same car I used to see at Upper Horning & Mohawk in the 70's, then it moved to Glancaster Road and was there until that section of Glancaster Road was expropriated for the Hamilton Airport expansion. Lost track of it in the 80's. If it is the same car, it is always nice to see that it survived.

He may be getting a lot of replies and is busy and seems also to be a bit upset with the sale. If its as good as it looks (who knows without seeing it), its underpriced and will sell to the first person who sees it?

A guy is Halifax last week advertised a 1965 vette roadster with good pics and a very honest description. $12,500, original engine with serial number stamp, dark green, tan interior, owned by him for 35 years, not started in 35 years and kept in a dry. He had hundreds of emails in 2 hours, I spoke to him, I was number 2, on a phone call (no number is ad), first guy offered $25,000. Sold to him. A good car underpriced will sell fast, this one is probably sold by now, if a good car?

Just saw a tan 63 Parisienne on east Hastings, same car as mine, had a v8 rumble, then a Rambler American, 2 door HT, nice rumble too. Missed pics, the 63 looked perfect too.

Thats a nice looking car, I saw your other post about rear quarters, best to post all your questions in one place and youll get some good advice. US Pontiacs can have very different body parts than Canadian cars, but the mechanical bits are almost all Chevrolet.
What are your plans for the car? Any changes or just fix up some things and drive it as is for a while?

Welcome to Canadian poncho, glad you found us.

Thanks guyssmile

She seems to be a good driver, body needs work, some old cheese at rear quarter, fender lower. wheel arch area.  Rear frame cross member needs work, needs rear floor, front floor patch with sheet metal no patterns.

I am enjoying it as is right now, snow coming anyways so putting it away soon.  Not sure what to do yet but will be on the road in the spring for sure, fix little things.  I love the way this big yacht cruise.  Thanks to member Don I scored a manual and he is also sending me a 63 supplement.   Another member Pete may have a set of tail lights for me too.  That would be awesome.IMG_20221029_181605.jpgIMG_20221029_181615.jpgIMG_20221029_181632.jpgIMG_20221029_181648.jpgIMG_20221029_181716.jpgIMG_20221029_181734.jpgIMG_20221029_181748.jpgIMG_20221029_181758.jpg

Yeah pretty much.  I posted some picture.

Had a 72 Oldsmobile 98 4 dr HT. back in 83.  Nostalgia sets in making me want one again.  I wasn't picky about the make or model, just something with 4 doors and no pillar, big as a whale, sits about 20.

Yea, I'd say you bought well Jimmy. Nice,

Even simply a good detailing would bring it right up. Make sure it's all sound and safe, but don't sweat every cosmetic issue, even the Bondo and minor rust. Just get it up strong on it's wheels, and then simply drive it everyday till it's happy.

I have to say, it's nice to see the pillarless 4 doors getting the respect they deserve. This car got some attention to be sure, and it's' no wonder, It's friggin beautiful, Lincon'ish in a way, no?

Stain on carpet on passenger side might indicate a heater core leak.

Check carpet  from firewall to floor for dampness.

Check rad level and top up if necessary.

Worth keeping an eye on temp guage on next outing check coolant level after it cools down.

Dont overfill it either Jimmy, these cars have no rad overflow and if you fill the rad to the top, they will spit some out the overflow. After they spit some out, leave it alone. Just watch for leaks.
Do you do some of your own mechanical work Jimmy?
Don

May be it leaked before, seems to be OK now.  Will keep an eye on that.  Thanks!

I am by no means a mechanic but righty tighty lefty loosey I can sort of follow.  Many information online nowadays I try to do what I can.  Rear frame is weak and the body mount at the very back (right trunk) is broken.  That is my main concern now, not sure how to tackle that, seems like a big job...hmm
