Question regarding rear leaf springs

I dropped my truck off to "Buck" two weeks ago. As some of you guys suspected there was another broken leaf- the main leaf at the eyelet as well as a good crack in the center. So, he got me a full set from Eastern Spring in Moncton as well as all the mounting hardware. He just finished today in time for me to get it home and swap my winch for my blade as we have a foot of snow coming. Needless to say the bill was about 4 times the original quote which translates into three years worth of Christmas gifts for me.

He said the drivers side spring pack looked ok however I may replace it myself next spring.

That is a pretty typical leaf spring experience. Kind of like rust repair, once you dig into it there's always more than you thought.
