Brake master question. Ford.

64 Ford Galaxie.

On a mid 60's 4 wheel drum system, does it matter what port on the master is front or back, provided the reservoirs and ports are the same size?

I'm asking for someone that is adapting a 67 Full size manual dual master, to a 64 full size single system.

My thinking is the only likely difference would be the front bore would be slightly smaller than the rear?

Is there a way of identifying this by looking at the master?

Make up a couple of short lines and draw fluid from each port to see the bore size difference.

Could do that for original and the replacement to determine which port should go to front.

Plug off one port so you are only getting one measurable source.
