1969 Pontiac bonneville 9 passenger wagon project, tons of extra parts to go with it. Pontiac 350 engine was running recently , sitting on new airbags with all lines run, needs some assembly and bodywork. I've lowered the price to $2800 or best reasonable offer. I need the space and this one needs to go! no trades 519 535 9764 Thanks
I don't have all the history on the car but here's what I recall.
Hillar told me he got the car in Florida, perfectly running and looking 428 Bonneville, filled it with parts for this and other cars he owned then drove it to Toronto. It was a decent driver. At some point the engine was harvested and the car sat deteriorating in his front driveway much to his neighbourhood chagrin for years.
Last time I saw it it was very very restorable and there were a boatload of parts with it too, I must have taken those shots of it being loaded and all others for that matter. Its pretty clear from my pictures this was a decent car at that time worth restoring. Things happen.
Yea I purchased the car been trying to find a 66 impala wagon to go with our 66 hard top but just cant find much anymore.I jumped on This car when I found it.needs a lot of metal work but one I get it further apart Ill
Have a better idea.just wanted to see if anyone had some photos when it was still a complete car.unfortunately it has a 301 Pontiac engine in it right now and will be pulling air bags out
Thanks for sharing that I searched couldnt seem to find anything.unfortunately car looks no where near as solid as that anymore it needs a lot of metal work And a lot of parts replaced still unsure of what to do until I strip it down some more
I always liked this car when Hillar owned it, He never came clean on where the 428 went but my hunch is it ended up in a 1968 GTO Bobcat recreation. The red parts for sure Hillar got from a 454 1970 Safari, Fire Chief car. He had amassed all new trim front beak and grilles, tail lights and that wide rocker trim and all new letters plus interior parts needed. Also he had those killer optional Bonneville wheel covers NOS in boxes.
In my opinion when I loaded that car on the flatbed for Ingersoll a decade + ago all it needed was an engine to be a driver, everything else needed to make it very good was inside the car.
Unfortunately I think a lot of those parts that were in the car have been lost along the way.when I purchased car had lots of parts in it but most of it looks used pulled off of another car.lots of trim but some of it is little rough now.Im
Gonna be looking for a parts car for a lot of stuff have to try and find complete front clip and possibly front roof section around windshield its all rotted out decade of sitting hasnt been good to the car.it has a 301 from late70s firebird was told it ran but I havent tried to fire it.not a big fan of the 301
It's sad to see a car that was once so solid to deteriorate in such a short period of time. The same fate happened to the 58 Plymouth I owned in 1999. It was a rust free California car with beautiful floors. I recently talked to a guy in the US who just bought the car and apparently the owner before him drove it in one Ohio winter (!) and let it sit for years outside. The windshield leaked and the floors are now shot. So sad..
Yea looks great in those pics.its a shame to see how Much its changed.here are some pics of the rough areas right now gonna have to do some floor Pans in it fair amointernet around windows and quarters.car is pretty rough but Id hate to see it go the scrap
