Hi All, Its been a while as I dont get online too often. Working fulltime - starting a small business while running cruise nights and restoring a car doesn't leave much for online time.
I am restoring an '86 caprice classic and the mop-and-glow is snowballing into something silly - why I don't know damn OCD!!! Fould a few dents under the paint and next thing you know its getting metal finished... nonetheless - This texas car has some brittle parts... I exploded all of the INSIDE rear window garnish clips and have not been able to figure out the number for the lower ones. They seem to be specific for the B69 body which mine is. Is there anyone with the resources and knowledge to look up the number of these silly things so I can try and see if I can locate some? There are upper, side, and lower. The upper and side appear to be the same but the lowers appear different.
If you look at my picture, the red line shows what I believe to be the correct clip, even though it says 82-85 and doesn't say 86. The reason I'm guessing its the same is if you look down to the green line, that is the back window lower garnish moulding, B69 from 82-87. So it's kind of a "if the moulding is the same it stands to reason the clips are too".
Sorry, I should have added that it's no longer available from GM and no dealers in Canada are showing any in stock. (I may be retired but thankfully because my wife still works at the dealership it's easy for me to get the guys to check out part numbers.) If you are real desperate, you could try calling Friesen Chevrolet in Sutton Nebraska as they are showing 13 of them in stock!

I figured they were no longer available... Everything on this car seems to be that way. After calling Canadian sources I called USA and bought the 12 they could find from Nebraska.
Do you have a picture of what they look like. I had a 86 caprice parts car about 20 years ago, and i have lots of old bodyshop clips from the 80's
Not a great pic but this is the one I could find that wasnt all blown to bits. If you have any 86 caprice bits floating around still let me know. Cheers
