1998 Silverado 4x4 suspension question

How much weight should I have on my Upper and lower control arms before torquing them down? Ive not dealt with a torsion bar suspension before, does that make a difference?

Engine out and cab off, should I put both back before doing above?

Thanks, Don

I would follow the "norm" when doing suspension, eg..changing springs etc. Put ALL the weight removed back on the vehicle and then torque the suspension. Even after driving it for a couple hundred miles, allowing the supension to "settle" you could retorque it if you noticed a difference side to side..
