A guy I worked with bought a new Formula back then and I was surprised to see the Chevy 350 in it, my 76 had the venerable Blue Block Pontiac, one of two Pontiac powered Pontiacs I ever owned.
He had that thing rebuilt the second the warranty ended, camel back heads cam and headers new intake and carb, It absolutely flew. His was a four speed too.

My son had a 1976 TA that he purchased from a friend who had bought it new. It had around 130 KM on it. He sold it 3 or 4 years later and he had put another 80 km on it. The last time he saw ithe car the 3rd owner still owned it with over 300 km on it. The car had been relatively free of any serious problems. Not bad for a Pontiac 400 ?
