Carl, answered my own question, Ive been out of my house since the end of January due to a small flood. Was doing some digging today and found my 58-66 Cdn Pontiac parts book.

I suppose this is likely going to remain one of those unsolved mysteries, why the US cars and the Canadian cars differ.
