Has anyone installed their own vinyl top without removing the chrome drip rails? My drip rails are original and in great shape. I would hate to damage them in removal and the have to replace them with repops. Looking for some direction and advice on this project.

YES I HAVE PUT TOPS ON WITHOUT REMOVING THE DRIPRAIL MOULDING .,
MASK THE MOULDING ( SO NOT TO MARK IT UP )AND IT IS NOT IN WAY.
