Can someone tell me what the difference is from the 2 speed and the 3 speed shifter are? Are the base pieces that bolt to the floor the same?

I can speak for 65 which should be the same, shifter assembly is the same, detent plate, safety switch and indicator plate are different. I used a 66 detent plate and switch to convert my 65. Easily swap one for the other.
Shiftworks has the parts to convert if you don't have original.
