As I may have mentioned before, I'm getting the 68 2+2 re-framed this winter and I've been picking up many of the parts needed for the project (sending unit, mounts, gaskets, rubber bumpers, brakes etc.).
While browsing Kijiji I came across a 68 full size bumper that the seller claimed was NOS and never on a car. I suspect it was on a car for a little while as the bottom bolt holes are a little warn, but other than that it looks NOS. It even still has the part number sticker still on the back.
It's not as perfect as a freshly re-chromed bumper, but it's very close. And best of all, the price was a fraction of a re-chromed bumper.
Whenever someone tells me the car hobby is expensive..I always say. I don't hunt...I don't golf...I don't fish. But in a way ..guess were all hunting... Nice find!!!
Our hobby is cheap in comparison to some hobbies/addictions/habits that lots of guys have!
Like I said.no fish..no golf..no hunt. How much is a fish boat..then fuel.. then moorage. Also saftey ..flares VHF etc etc. Golf membership??? Hope you have a GOLD card..... and at the end of the day....we still have something we enjoy. And when we want we can still sell it...
I always remind the wife its way better than a mistress and she always knows where I am.
