The Chevy crew cab is factory built for the government.

The 68 Bonneville with hideaway headlights is quite rare, an option offered late year. Owner had documentation to prove it's authentic.

Found an article on it. With the documentation too.

Bit of a funny sidenote! The guy who wrote that article is Diego Rosenberg. He is the guy in my picture wearing the hoodie, holding his phone. I took a picture of him taking pictures of the car.

I had been messaging with him since last summer regarding various Canadian Pontiac details, as well as some other unique Canadian vehicles. We agreed to meet at the show. We had just met, were standing near the street when we saw this Bonneville to by and I said "Look, someone added hideaway headlights on the Bonneville". He ran to the street and took a picture of it going by, then proceeded to explain to me that it was actually a late year option on those cars. And with that, the guy pulled into the show and parked almost exactly where we were standing. He has perfect documentation (as shown in that article) detailing the late year option.

It was interesting talking to Diego, he's a genuine car nut and a wealth of information on all makes an models. He isn't so much interested in mainstream cars/trucks as the unusual.

A couple from a small Olds show I went to. The red one was best of show. Guy did it at home in his garage, beautiful job.

I know it's no big deal but I thought it was pretty cool to go in to a wrecking yard that is well picked and see an absolutely 100% complete power steering setup, including the belt, on a 63 Nova 6 cylinder. I just never see stuff like that in yards any more.

Great shots Carl. That 68 Bonny is freaking loaded. I wonder if T83 ever snuck onto an Executive or Catalina.

Dollar/time conversion wise, it would be equivalent to a 52k car today. which really doesn't say much of todays way overpriced garbage, but back then... that was right up there and the real deal.

It really is an amazing car, yes. And the optional front end is the icing on the cake. I wish he'd left it the original colour instead of doing it resale red. (and I happen to love it in red, for the record)

Yes, gold would have been really nice, elegant, better reflect the lines on the big car than red imop. But such were the days when everyone seemed to want a red ragtop, not that old stodgy gold.

Nice 66 Olds and the Nova wagon would be a nice parts hauler...

Yeah, the 66 442 is a total knockout. I'm sure it was in the running for best of show.

Dwarf Car Museum | Ernie Adams Official Site

Ernie lives a few minutes out of town from where we stay. Have you not seen his creations? Built from scratch. Amazing. And he drives them. One of his dwarfs he has driven over 50,000 miles.
