That's no turd. That's a 66 Grande Parisienne big block 4 speed with K66 electronic ignition!

Interesting that 30 days elapsed between the day it was built and the day it was shipped.

It doesn't say it on this GM document but other documents have said 90 4 speed Grande Parisiennes in 66. Also GM says that they built 66 B bodies in Oshawa in 1966 with K66 transistor ignition.

Fantastic find! Looks a little light on the front end? Any luck with tracking down the original running gear?

Someone should remind and teach John how to spell Grande......... Personally, I would ask for new documents. Thumbs up, though.

Congrats Kevin. I think you're the right guy for this car as you know exactly what it is.  I was hoping to see a decent picture of it as I had been talking to the previous owner, and it sure seems solid. Whoever ordered it certainly knew what boxes to tick off to make a bankers hod rod.  Major potential and with your stockpile (hoard) you should be able to get it back to its glory days.

Thats the first thing I thought of also. Also a typo on the production date should be December of 65 not 66. Looks like a great project.

As a member of the Canadian Pontiac community I want to thank you for saving another unique one. Wow! Super rare with this equipment and even harder to find in any form today. I feel that we can trust Kevin to see this project through. It sure has a really neat option list.

Kevin, you have some property, you have some vintage signs. Why don't you recreate a 1966 Pontiac-etc showroom? Brochures, posters, primo cars on the showroom floor. Just open the door & take one out for a test drive, burning rubber once at operating temp. Invite Stevenson over with his fake '66 biggrin

As for the car being a turd, most wives would think so as it currently looks abandoned. A turd would still be a turd after polishing, however that car is a jewel in the rough. Congrats on another worthy project.

Or were you planning to fill the hole in the floor, install a 2 spd glide and a column shift?

Depends on the Licensing Bureau. My son got an Ontario Ownership for an Alberta 1969 Beaumont station wagon that had no ownership. With just a bill of sale, an appraisal and an sworn affidavit from the local town hall. As long as it has never been registered in Ontario.
