The only thing wrong with those cars is the brake master cylinder location. Its almost impossible to add or check the brake fluid. Chevrolet and the Canadian Pontiacs moved the master cylinder to the firewall in 1955. The US Pontiacs stayed on the frame rail ahead of the floor. Its almost impossible to reach it due to the V-8 engine being wider than the inline engines in the older American built Pontiac.
