Engine oil choices for Hyundai Accent with 250,000 km

Any suggestions.  2012 Accent dr Automatic.

car is using a liter every  500 km   Missed an oil change and ran low once.

Car has been very good and only had to replace one of the catalytic convertors and the alternator

Rear shocks replaced last year

Front struts/shocks are original.

A/C still cold

a couple of battery's over the life.

Never undercoated... no rust..    usually don't see any rust on this model

Would prefer liter bottles as easier to measure and handle
Brands?

Years ago I had a customer that swore by Castrol GTX 10W-30. The car would be down a quart every 1000 miles, so he kept oil with him to top it up between oil changes. He was the only customer that requested Castrol and we kept some in stock just for him. He dropped the car off for an oil change one day and after draining the oil I realized that we were out of Castrol oil. The boss said put Valvoline in it, he wouldnt know the difference (our shop was a Valvoline dealer). Well he picked the car up, non the wiser that we had put Valvoline oil in it. A couple of months later he stopped in and asked what we did to his car? I asked if there was a problem and he said no, but the car has well over 1000 miles since changing the oil and its still full! Needless to say that changed his mind about what oil to use. This was in the 70s and the car was a 1974 Cadillac.

Have been using dealership oil and then adding Redex 10w30 in litre bottles.

Won a case of 24 of the Redex as a door prize.

Also putting some fuel injector cleaner occasionally and just before the next oil change add a oil change flush.   (cant remember name of the stuff)

Well recommended on here......

Seafoam.

I can remember running an oil analysis through Canadian Tire before an oil change. They can tell if rings are done, if coolant is seeping in via head gasket failure, abnormal or normal wear...

If you have run dyno oil throughout the car's extended life, switching to synthetic is like asking oil leaks to appear.

I concur, run the "high mileage" oil.
