Now the reason I am writing , I , or we own a 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak. It was featured back in August 2020. The trunk lock on the car is the original one from when my wife and I purchased our ( her ) car.
To me the lock is not correct, and I have no technical brochures or photos to show me otherwise.
The lock exterior trim is completely circular. The issue is, there is a semi circular hole in the trunk lid above the exterior trim of the lock, which is telling me it not correct.
I think the original lock would have been a TEAR Drop looking lock , am I right or is there an exterior trim piece that I am missing ?
Any help and or Comments would be appreciated.
By chance if anyone reads or if they know of someone who may have the proper one or trim , would they be interested in sell It ?
