Lifting rear end

Has anyone every lifted a rear end with a bit longer, more arched leaf springs?
1965 Canso. there are monos now and would like to keep them mono.
really dont want to put any type of shackle on.
custom made ones maybe. I dont want to lift much, maybe an inch or so. Hind end is a bit sagged.

thanks

Back in the day you could get your springs "RE arched" not sure if anyone does it nowadays. Maybe check with a local spring/4x4 shop

I have read about that too. The reviews seem to be mixed.

Transport repair shops should have access to quality spring shops.

I used one to stabilize the rear of  my 69 Dodge Dart Swinger which towed the race car.

They added an extra leaf under the main leaf.

I see you're in Lethbridge. Standen's Springs here in Calgary used to do all sorts of things with leaf springs, no idea if they do anymore. You'd likely need to tell them it's a Chevy II as they'd have no idea what a Canso is.

Air assist shocks. A couple of hours and you have your 2" lift.

I do remember the days when it was common to see Novas jacked up to the sky. Back in 1970 I saw '69 jacked up to the sky with big 50s out back, and 2 blocks later I saw another, a brand new Hugger Orange '70 Nova complete with shackles and a 10% downward slope towards the front. The steam roller tires on chrome slots cleared the fenderwells at least.

And the fluorescent orange or green painted rear end!

There was once a 70 superbird here in Burlington, wing and all, jacked to the moon with the green diff.

I looked up Standens and they are still there. Since 1924 as a matter of fact. I may contact them and pick their brain.

thanks for the lead.

Yes, they've been around forever.  Just not sure if they can provide you what you're looking for.
