Heres today quiz. ( this is way better than wordle!)

You just picked up your brand new 1965 Acadian Canso with a 283, from the dealer.

what color will the thermostat housing, the oiler filler tube and the oil filler cap be? Orange or black?

I could be wrong but I believe the oil tube and oil cap was black and the thermostat housing was orange.

My guess is that all are orange.
An American Chevy 11 would be orange thermostat housing, orange tube and black cap

All orange for MacKinnon Chevrolet inline sixes & small block V8s. No logo on the valve cover(s). 65/66 Studebaker used Chevy MacKinnon sixes & small block eights, but they were black with yellow valve covers and some say they differed from the production Chevrolet versions. Do you know anything about them, Todd?

It was all heresey about the Stude Chevy V8's being different. Some said they had higher nickel content in the blocks. I've also heard all engines from MacKinnon had higher nickle content than the American engines. I'm not aware of any other differences.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.

Thats the picture on whats in my car so it was done right with the exception on a few touch ups. 
im putting it back together after many years and trying to stay a stock looking as I can.

you got a retired wood guy doing mechanics and auto body so there will be lots of pop quizzes.

Heres todays

One of the boxes of stuff I got back has these important looking parts in it.

I have a good idea of what they are for but will ask the panel.

2 speed powerglide. 283 with a 4 barrel carb is whats currently there.
