CP Rail - what's this???


Any old railroaders......smile......what was this used for?

Size of a standard car license plate - buddy just got in a bunch of plates.

I think it was a special plate given out to CP employees and the public in Quebec. One of those safety promo things companies will put out from time to time.

Quebec only requires one licence plate  on rear so it would likely go on the front of a vehicle..??

I right mouse clicked on Bernie's plate image and selected  "Search image with Google". One image came up, Ebay, and it was a Quebec licence plate seller. So that made some sense.

It's an amazing research tool that image search.

Like Cliff observed, QC has no front plate, and it's obviously Canadian. Not sure of other provinces with no front? 

I could see this on a Quebec car. Year, my guess, 1977.

 Alberta hasn't had front plates since the mid-1980's.
