Niagara Falls in path of total Eclipse

April 8th the Falls will be in the direct path of this Eclipse. They expect up to  a million people that day. Rooms are in the $700 range. #1 the total black out will be less then 4 minutes and #2 what if its a cloudy, rainy day.

Like I need another reason to drive to Niagara-On-The-Lake. Again. We're getting low on pies, so wineries it shall be.

Kevin, do we get an entry discount if we bring our own 3-D glasses & folding chairs?

We have now decided to pull all our buses off the roads during the eclipse.

We are not worried about the sun.

We are worried about the other drivers and their reactions on the highway.

It could be a very dangerous time on the highways in Southern Ontario.

I'll be there today with a nice chihuahua service dog to trade! Fill it up, I'll be driving it home.

I have to admit that I was surprised by how dark it was in downtown Toronto, not even totality and it was basically night for about 15 minutes, all light sensor lamps came on all street lights came on, my EA was praying and crossing herself!

My son was in Port Burwell and reports it was insane on the beach of Lake Erie.

Watched it in Burlington, on our porch as a family. The clouds parted in the Knick of time and we were treated to a minute or so of totality.

Words or images can never describe it! Now I can see why people chase it.

We had clear skies. Biggest thing I noticed is how cool it got. When it was at it's darkest I saw lightning to the north which was a bit odd since there were no clouds. Also someone in the area started playing a trumpet! Very strange indeed.

When I looked out the back yard and looked into the adjoining park, there were about 30 people on the hill, watching. The lights on the pathways and street lights all went on. It didn't last that long. Not enough time for all the raccoons to start into their usual after-dark shenanigans, dancing on our roof like it is a disco. Or ruck-over on a rugger field.

Now I can see the sun trying to assert itself through the clouds. What do they call it when the clouds block the sun, a Cloudy Eclipse? Just wondering and stirring the pot.

We drove to a town called Dutton on Lake Erie and it was a fun day exploring and most of seeing the eclipse in totality was just amazing. What a bucket list experience! I did see one when I was 6 years old, so I consider myself pretty lucky! But today's was unforgettable!!

I was worried about clouds in the morning, but they cleared up early and we had sunny skies the whole day.

I'm hoping to be around for the solar eclipse in Calgary, August 2044.
