As an FYI, the blunt end on the base will work on your '65, but the pointed end is correct (and hard to find).

I used to have an NOS pointed base one complete with mounting template but I traded it away to Antique Chevrolet Parts years ago.

well it was the passenger side miror which I dont believe was a option at the time? I will look at the driverside tomorrow and will want to match that.

Those mirrors with the round head could be used as driver's or passenger's mirror. Once they got into the rectangular head they started producing left & right-hand side mirrors.

Novas were the last Chevy to use the round head mirror through 1972.

Check Ames Performance.com
for mirror selections.
I bought a couple of mirrors for my Impala from them.
Good quality.

Im a bit confused. Both of my cars have the same mirrors. However they are not what is being shown here. I will double check over the next few days but they are the same as this one.i believe they are both the originals. Maybe not?

The .mirrors I bought did not have any bow tie on them and were  the rectangular shape which I liked better for more vision.

Check antique Chevrolet in Dundas, they have them similar to these with and without a Bowtie.
