1965 Parisienne backup light

Hey there. I noticed one of my reverse lights is missing a light bulb and wiring (there is just a home on the back of the housing). Trying to find a wire with a light bulb socket - no luck, only see the whole housing assembly with chrome, wire etc. do I need to purchase the whole housing there is any way to get just a socket with a wire?

Just a guess, but it's likely rusted out, which is common. The socket is cast into the housing and not replaceable, so you will most likely need to replace the whole unit. Since they're mounted directly in line of the rear wheel, some cars have a shield plate mounted directly in front to prevent mud-dirt build up.

So to whoever has their reverse lights messed up i found a solution: rear part (socket) can be pulled out/torn off with pliers without taking off the bezel and this Grote socket is ideally matches with the hole, no adjustments needed, just push it from the back.
www.thewrenchmonkey.ca/products/auto-parts/grote/841003/ i purchased from here, were delivered within a week.
I don't post amazon link as amazon offers those guys for 20 times the price.
