Saw that. Definitely looks rotted, but could be the remnants of done sort of coating

It looks really nice, but it needs to be saved. Disassemble! As required, braze, grind, prime, paint, reassemble. It looks like it was put away mint and sat for a long time, engine opened up. Some non-destructive cleanup could preserve many original details.

It says automatic, so I am assuming Powerglide, otherwise they would say Hydramatic. Isn't that how it always goes?

I've always thought the '68 2+2 was a cool car.

Could be way wrong, but I see it as some flaking yellow paint on the frame. You'd have think that if the frame was rotten to that degree, you'd have to see some corrosion up along those floor brace seams. They look perfect and the rear pan looks good. The firewall seam also looks pretty good. If the body was decent, a better frame could be found without too much trouble.

I think this would be a great car, not to total restore, but to do what's needed to just get it on the road. I'd consider it if I had the space. Probably won't last long being a 2+2.

Wasn't this the 68 2+2 that was posted months ago, but all the pictures were of it in storage?
