we pumped up the wifes ride for floatfest. the wife and 5 of her friends will get dressed up and take a cruise down the canal

I've heard it takes 8 hours to go from Port Colborne to Port Weller through the locks. Watching those freighters go through the locks is amazing, as they have maybe 4" or so clearance from the edge. I sure wouldn't want to be in that inflatable thing with that sort of traffic around.

I'm trying to imagine taking it for a spin down the Beaver Dams area. They'd have to send out a search party as that water really churns as it makes it's way to the Decew Falls Power Station, then down the old previous Welland Canal. If you fall in that fast-moving water you are a goner.
