Happy dads,

...let their Daughters take their boyfriends to the drive-in in a nice CP.

Picture from tonight, they say it's a gorgeous night. Hope they beat the rain, if not...oh well it's only water!

Talk about memories....wow.

Jaws, American Graffiti, And Now For Something Completely Different are just a few that come to mind at the drive-in.

There used to be a few Drive-Ins around Greater Hamilton when I was a kid. Limeridge Rd. near Upper James, Waterdown, one near Highway 20 & Mud St. There was also one at the Oakville / Mississauga border at #5 & the 403 that was there well before the 403.

Surprisingly there are still a few around. Given land values and imminent domain it is surprising they exist at all.

They were at the 5 drive in Oakville, at Dundas and the 403. I suspect it won't be around too much longer as the area is under extreme development pressure.

Yes, it is an archaic anachronism to see a drive-in today, at least around these parts.

It is almost as relevant as a TV Repair Shop. Remember those?

Quasar? What is this, the Twilight Zone back to the 1970s?
