Looks like Ray is giving a good deal to some lucky new owner!  Alas, if circumstances were different there is a good chance it would be finding its way to my driveway, but it's not in the cards at the moment.  Will always have a soft spot for '73s though.

I'm sure you did ok on it.

You got your enjoyment out of that car for a good number of years. Now somebody else can have some enjoyment, and you can concentrate on the rest of your fleet.

Thanks Fellas, I owned that car for over 20 years and tinkered with it to make it the way I wanted. Finding parts and working on the car with friends is the real enjoyment for me but having it run right and strong was so satisfying too. That 454 was absolutely purring this season as I took time to get it right, dialed in timing and changed all fluids and oil, new filters and plugs and wires. I find that you need to put a lot of effort in selling a car these days but I remained polite and courteous and answered every question I got honestly and fully and furnished every picture I was asked for....except one. The guy who asked for the picture off the block pad showing engine code and partial VIN. I responded to him with Please ask the question you want answered. Then I get back I wanted to check VIN to see if the engine was original and if not what it came out of. Great, so I answered him.

I only posted on Kijiji (three iterations of ad in 2 months) and got over 6,000 views total more that 50 questions, lots of texts and calls too. Had three people commit to take the car then back off at last minute, lots of no shows too. Anyway the buyer is a gentleman who has had cars his entire life recently retired and wanted something with good bones and a bad ass attitude to tinker on. I think it found the right home.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have this car out of my life, part of the grand declutter and organize plan so my kids won't have to when i die.

I'd be remise though if I didn't mention all of you, like all of us I've made some great on-line friends and met so many guys in person, everyone so super helpful and just a bunch of guys who'd give you the shirt off their back, so grateful and blessed, that's what this car brought me, and to our fearless leader Todd my immense thanks. I can remember the day vividly that we hauled that big block out of your garage in Ingersoll, good times.
