Notice the spread between the engine build and the car build? Over 3 months apart. We sure see that often on the Mark IV powered Canadian Pontiacs.

It was a pleasure to be involved with this.

The world would be in a diiferent place if this car was for sale 5 years ago.

On the 4 lane highway, it was fun to watch the reactions of people seeing both cars.

Let me know where you find the Power trunk release button.

It's like they moved it to a different location every 3 months.

That's because they installed one every three months and it had been so long they forgot where to put it. wink

Very happy for you. I would have loved to get this car but I hope it serves you well. I am looking for a 69 or 67 Grande coupe so please let me know if you hear of any coming available!

The car build date June 25 1969 and engine code is T0318JQ, March 18th.

Likely because engines needed to be shipped from Tonawnada and demand for big block so low. Engine demand was probably estimated for each 1/4 and ordered in from New York for that 1/4 estimated need.

Also that's a late build for a 69 isn't it.

Kevin strikes again, congratulations, that is a solid looking car. 396 2 barrel 1969, our old friend Marv had one of those stuck in a 1963 Chevrolet 2 door post post, an original 409 4 speed car. That car you got is loaded with options.

Kevin, if you need any help stripping it and parting it out, I'm really good at doing that to original big block B bodies...

Now I know why you call it a turd. I highlighted the problem. The clutch and pressure plate are missing.

so  fresh oil and filter, prime the engine for oil pressure, squirt of quick start down her carb and crank. no life so remove points and yes they look bad. new points, squirt of quick start and she catches right away. put in a gallon in the tank but she wont keep running. atemped to change fuel line and it breaks. fix that, add another gallon of gas and still wont keep running. guess the next thing is fuel pump

Removed the fuel and the arm has lots of tension on it. I left the 6" of hose attached to the pump and separated it from the main line to the tank so now it was easier to get if off the pump now. Soon as I got if off I could see the tube off the pump was full of a tar like substance and so was the hose. Chances are Pump is OK but I'm just gonna put a new one on it. I am driving to Lancaster, New York to pick up all the brake and fuel lines for the Beau chassis so I will pick up pump to carb lines and gas filter for the 69
