Very nice 70 Camaro. I notice it has a CE suffix which is a counter engine or warranty replacement and a 5 speed which would make for great highway driving. At over $100,000 Can before you pay taxes and duties to Canada is the car really worth that kind of money ?

You have to look at it dollar for dollar, the exchange rate is your problem. Realistically at $74k that is big $$ for that car, but there will be guys who NEED to have that car. So you price it high and hope for the best.

It's an L78 car so that is pretty rare, I'd say not too many folks even know a 1970 could be ordered with an L78. It is a lot of money though you get a pristine car.

There were only an even 600 L78 Camaros built in 1970. I knew of 2 in Canada, a Mulsanne Blue SS396 with standard front end, and a Hugger Orange SS-RS that I have actually seen in Musclecar Review and on the 401 (on a trailer).
One of the ultimate Camaros for sure, and a decent driving car in its own right.

A couple of points about the 1970 Camaro:

The 3-piece rear spoiler was actually a COPO item added during '70, so the low 1-piece spoiler was really the only D80 option. For 1971 the 3-piece spoiler took over and became the D80 spoiler (with added front air dam for '71 (not used in '70)).
The low 1-piece rear spoiler only came on Z28s as a standard item for 1971-72, with the D80 set optional.

Spoilers became standard during 1969 on Z28s. The low 1-piece Z28 - only rear spoiler was dropped after '72 and the 73 & 74 Z28s could come without any spoilers.

Wheels from the factory would've been 14x7 steelies with various hubcap options, or the 14x7 6-slot Rally Wheels. I do like the 15x7 "Trans Am" wheel on the car as shown. Those were Z28 exclusive 1970-74, then for 1975 only with Gymkhana Suspension. They used F60-15 tires in that time. They were dropped for '76 completely, then came back on the 77½ Z28 with GR70-15 radials.

The L78 was a non listed option even on the ad Cam posts. It is a super rare car . The L78 is what makes the car special and expensive and recall in its first year of introduction the L78 was rated at 425 HP there after rated at 375 HP even though there were no changes to the engine or reduction in power. I have been fortunate enough to have driven an L78 Corvette first year 425 rated car.
