Bucks Auto has 9 impalas listed in inventory, you might luck out. Maybe someone close could do a reconnaissance.
Thanks but I tried there a week ago and none of them had a hitch! 2 Malibus but no Impalas. I was sure I'd fine one there. I'll keep checking there though.

If you don't find a used one Rock Auto has them. I often use them to get part numbers and then check Amazon. I did that for the front receiver on my truck.

It's way too much money because shipping is so expensive. I can't find one under $300 shipped and all I want it for is to have a place to put the tow hook on to pull it out of a snowbank if needed.

In that case perhaps someone could weld a hidden eyelet to the rear subframe. Quite a few imports come with a tow eylet that screws into the front bumper behind a trim panel. You could probably snag one from the auto wreckers and use it. They have threaded ends so you could even use an existing hole with washers and a bolt instead of welding. My winter beater 09 Hyundai Accent has one. I've used it a couple of times to drag it around.
