1966 Grande Parisienne, I'm the lucky second owner

I'm glad to be making my first post in this forum. I'm Dan Wells from New Westminster, BC. In early August, I purchased a 1966 Grande Parisienne Sport Coupe from the original owner in Edmonton, AB, where both owner and car have always resided. I've known the car and owner since 2011, when I wrote an article for the Edmonton Journal about them. A copy of it is attached, as are some photos of the car taken before I drove it to its new home.

Oh my goodness, a white interior!!! Absolutely beautiful cars to begin with and then white interior to boot.

Can't wait for more pictures and details.

And Dan, may I suggest that you send pictures and any story you have about the history of the car, your purchasing the car etc to the site administrator Todd so he could feature it for a month at the top of this page. Each month he features a different Canadian full size Pontiac or Beaumont or Acadian.

This isn't your article though, is it? This was also an Edmonton article I believe-

That was an article I wrote in 2011. I created about 70 vintage car stories for the Edmonton Journal Friday "Driving" section between 2007 and 2012. After their initial publication in Edmonton, the stories were picked up and published by the Editors of the other major daily newspapers across Canada owned by the same media conglomerate.

Just going by your avatar, the Grande Parisienne looks amazing. White interior also looks great when it has been maintained.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of this car. Thank You for sharing, Dan.

I'll agree with that Cam! Bit of Derail: our 2025 Genesis is white interior, that's what Mary wanted and she looks beautiful behind the wheel. Salesman tried to talk her out of it because he said they get nothing but complaints about it, blue jean dye and dirt. I did my homework and sourced two products specifically for light leather interiors and boy do they work. I've got the interiors on a two week cleaning and conditioning cycle, looks like the day it was delivered in June.

Remember those "Tannery" commercials on 1970's TV? I seem to recall they used a new Firebird Esprit. They would use the product on a grimy white interior and wipe it clean.    Of course it was fake dirt, as fake as Johnny D  wink

Yes, white interior can look really sharp. Next door to us in Ancaster was a 1971 Cutlass Supreme, Cranberry Red with black vinyl top, plus white bucket seat interior. It had the 4-spoke wheel & the Hurst dual gate automatic shifter. It went well for a 350.
