Ste. Thérèse did a few one-offs. That Z03 Z24 Impala was for the Canadian Market. We also know they did cars for the U.S. They did a Fathom Blue SS427 fastback without the Z03 buckets. It had been featured in magazines over the years. It had blue cloth bench seat.

No Z24 SS427s were done for the Canadian market for 1967, yet Ste. Thérèse built 40 of them, all for the U.S.A. They also did a single 1967 Caprice wagon with a 327 4-speed. Anybody could have ordered one, but apparently virtually nobody did.

I've done a bunch of 1968 Chevrolet renderings, but here's one that fits in well. It is a Caprice coupe that I combined with Z24, retaining the Caprice side & rear chrome but also the SS427 i.d.

Lots of little subtleties, like G70-15 white stripe tires, rear stabilizer, SS427 marker light, grille blackout, etc...

I often wondered why the hidden headlights weren't a regular option on the SS.  I think it would have been a knockout on the fastback body.

I see this SS427 was new in Red Deer AB. Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of the odd ball high perf cars are disproportionately from the prairie provinces?

It could be more survived from the prairies thus we're seeing more GM VVS docs from cars sold there.

I agree with Todd, its survival rate and we all know that Ontario and Quebec winter road maintenance practice rotted cars away. The black SS427 post here is an Ontario car, so would be the T&T car, and of course the Green Monster also Ontario.

Goodness, that 1968 Caprice hidden headlight look is one of the sexiest front ends! Up with our 65/66 Ponchos (And 68 GP kinda partial)
