WTB 1965 Parisienne Tail Panel Trim

My mate's 1965 Parisienne was hit in the rear by a runaway trailer. Looking for a good tail panel trim including at least the "PARI" letters. Let me know what you have available.

I'm in Australia, so if someone is willing to ship internationally I'd really appreciate the help.

What a shame.

They are quite rare to find in perfect condition, but they do come up from time to time in driver condition.

A quick search finds a decent and unpitted one in in Jackson Michigan. We do have access to a USA mailbox.

Thanks for that. I did see that one on ebay, but at $299 US dollars plus another $75 to get it to my US mailbox (he doesn't ship internationally) then their exorbitant shipping to Aus it will cube out to well over $900, probably over $1k, then the government here will want a slice on top of that! Just hoping I can find something more reasonably priced for him where I'm not doubling up on postage fees.

It is pricey for sure. But unfortunately you'll be hard pressed to find a mostly unpitted 65 "Parisienne" back panel for much less. They are hard to find. I went through this saga on my 65 Laurentian.

You see them come up from time to time, but they are usually quite pitted and not of any real value.

To be honest, that is a pretty nice 65, and with the fact it's a rare car located so far away with not much available to him, to get it on the car for $1000 wouldn't be that unreasonable in my mind. A cheaper part might save him maybe 2-300 all told?

Consider the possibility of that eBay item to be sent to my mailbox in Niagara Falls NY. I'd pick it up and bring it over myself. And then work on getting it to your mate.

I'll keep looking TD. Cheers.

It is a nice car. My friend bought it when he was 18 in the late 80s and owned it for a decade or so, doing a lot of restoration work over that time. He had the chance to buy it back a few years ago, and jumped at it. He has had plenty of other more desirable cars over this time but this one means a lot to him.

I've passed on your generous offer to receive and onsend the ebay tail panel to him. I'll get back to you with his response.

By the way the turn signals in the bootlid are an Australian factory addition, 100% stock.

It's been afew years now but this was sitting in an Alberta yard.

Don't remember the tailpanel condition but the headlight surrounds off the car are exceptional.

Interesting that someone took the time to mount it back on since it had to be removed to get the tail lights out.

Marketplace in BC has a 1965 Pontiac Parisienne rear tail panel moulding listed that looks to be in nice shape. It's in Cowichan Valley.

Hopefully the link I added in my next post down will work. Last night I couldn't get it to work when I posted this.

Interesting. The one you linked to Ted is 6 hours old, and it's the same images as the BC one Carl linked. Hmm.

Nevermind, it's a cross link to the Mill Bay BC part. I hate this.

Thanks guys, I've sent that link to my friend. It seems it would be better value by the time it's here. I will shoot him a message to see if he's interested in shipping to us over here!
