1969 Spears

OK, found another rabbit hole to fall in to wink

Dog's feet aside, do you see something strange ?

The one on the left is marked Repro,

the next one over belongs somewhere else, No slope at the point.

The third one is a lot thinner than the first two and uses screw on studs like my other ones in the shop.

Just like the 4th.

But the 4th is the reproduction that I bought 2 years ago.

Just another wierd 1969 thing brought to you for you to ponder.

I'll bet you will never look at a 1969 spear the same again.

I'd say you are looking at manufacturing variances from different suppliers and plants.

I've got one in my hand with threaded studs and a downturned point with the same PN # 9796270.

Some could be Canadian made and some US made too.

All of the above, and service replacements as well.

I often wondered if the Canadian Chevy II's had superior tail light castings to the U.S. counterparts because of the nice castings for the Acadians? Same supplier maybe.
