Yes, I see lots of guys sell them new. I just thought I'd check to see if someone has some used ones first.

As you can see, the early one has the 200 mark to the right of 12 o'clock and if possible I'd like to find one of those because that's the ones we had way back when.

If not, I may just buy new oil and temp like you pictured.

I knew that Stewart Warner had started producing several types of classic style gauges about ten or so years ago. I can appreciate your attention to detail and good luck with your search. Those old Stewart Warner gauges were quite durable. They were the only brand that took the abuse from dirt track racing in the 60s and stayed accurate. A lot of the cheaper oil pressure and temp gauges wouldnt return to zero after a couple of weeks of racing due to the vibration.

Interesting, I wouldn't have known that part about them. I just remember they always worked great and seemed to last forever. I've never thought to look for them at swap meets but I imagine there must be lots lying on shelves in garages.

Those are nice Carl, and you are right, many of us had them. My buddy had a set of those in a Mini Cooper, blasphemous as it should have had Smiths.

But now, I dream of these...

Hmm those aren't bad either. Do you know if they make that one with a voltmeter vs the ammeter shown?

Yes, the Green lines come in a Voltmeter.

Pricey, and they are out of stock at Summit.

BTW, for others reading this, I have a brand new Smiths not pictured, a mechanical single size gauge- dual water temperature and oil pressure. The oil pressure uses a line to the oil pressure sensor switch hole, the water temperature gets plumbed into the coolant system. My 409 has the oil sensor on top of the oil filter housing, I used plumbing parts to do a splitter so I have both the idiot light and the mechanical gauge working, did similar for the water temperature sensor. I used this gauge to replace the clock on a 62 bubbletop, would work in any vehicle with a round gauge of a similar size.
