That interior burned my eyes. Three speed manuals in Chrsylers from 57-62 were quite rare and only available on US built models.

Dad's first brand new car was a 1957 Plymouth Plaza 2-door with a flathead 230 & 3-speed manual. Pink & white with fins. I never saw it in person, only a colour slide. Dad traded it for a new 1961 Biscayne, which is the first car I rode in as a newborn.

Any big manual Chryslers are rare. I'd love a 300 letter series with a manual but they only made a handful. In 1960 they offered the Chrysler 300-F with a French-built Pont-a-Mousson 4-speed manual transmission that was developed for the 383-powered French Facel-Vega. Maybe 15 were built, maybe 4 still exist. That was before the industry exploded with 4-speed offerings by 1964. Borg-Warner was busy supplying everyone with 4-speeds, but Chrysler was releasing their in-house 4-speed for 1964. GM started with the Muncie. Ford was still using Borg-Warner but was developing their top-loader 4-speed for release around that time.

Speaking of manual transmissions in unexpected places, dad had a 1994 Ford Aerostar with a 5-speed manual. It was the last unsold new manual Aerostar that Ford had leftover in it's final year offered. When dad bought it, the dealer said that is the only one they had ever handled.

I can still remember a comedian exclaiming, "Three pedals?! Do I have three feet?"
Obviously a two-foot driver wink
