Fatal mistake made when ordering parts from the US.

As you may be aware, I am doing a massive engine transplant in my 65 parisienne. Of course when something is not stock other stuff tends to not fit.
so I need to lift the rideheight of my car as I now have deep engine and transmission pans Which hang lower.

lifting means taking out the front 2" drop spindles and installing correct ride height spindles. Because it is a disc brake front end I need disc brake spindles.

won't find any downunder. So, I found CPP makes an adaptor kit to convert the drums to disc.

I asked for a price for impala kit to suit my 65 pontiac parisienne which has chev underpinnings.

well, after 12 back and forward emails of trying to convince the bloke that they will fit, they are going to sell me a kit.

what a blast....

Oh, he is stuck in a rut thinking you have an American Pontiac?

So you need stock 65-70 Impala disc brake spindles?

Is the C3 corvette relatively popular down under?

That entire spindle and brake assembly will fit your 65.

I used their kit. MAKE SURE, you get the complete kit. I had to ask why mine would not bolt up the first time I tried to install. There is a additional hardware kit, that "adjusts" the configuration to make it work. Without that kit, you'll be scratching your head.

Let me know if you DID order it. I may be able to find the invoice and part numbers for it...

Hmmmm. That sounds interesting. I have just asked for the bracket kit. What are the extras? I think what I have should bolt up. What is the additional hardware kit? It is way too expensive to getthe complete kit, discs , calipers etc etc.

 No, not a common car.

If my memory is correct. You need the bracket kit. Otherwise there is only about 1/16" clearance between the rotor and steering parts.

Let me look and see if I can find the invoice and part number.

Phillip.... This the part # you NEED for this kit to work. There is brackets in this small parts kit that I think SHOULD have been in the main kit. So I guess it's a $$ grab...

Hope this helps

That kit looks like it includes the brackets, calipers, rotors and a bunch of bolts, washers & clips.

I don't want to have to buy the complete kit. This is the kit I require I do believe which has all the neccessary parts. The discs, calipers etc will fit
