Merry Christmas. We just got home from visiting friends. There was a lot of food including an incredible seafood chowder.

Merry Christmas everyone.  Just back from taking my 99 year old mother in law out for a drive to show her the lights all around her community (20 minutes away). Now a quiet evening at home after a busy day yesterday with our two married children/spouses and our 2 new grandchildren.

Tomorrow is a nice quiet day, church in the morning, then a meal and some time with our next door neighbours who have become good friends of ours since we moved to town in 2016.

And since religious discussions aren't allowed here I'll keep this generic. As I look at the clock right now I realize that 40 years ago right about now I was in church doing my annual visit there. I understood the Christmas story in a way I never had before and life from that day forward has been a LOT different! Special evening for me tonight, a great anniversary of a turning point (a GOOD one!) in my life.
