Afellow on another site has an incredable collection of 90-92 firehawks for sale (3 I think) He also has a real 86 fire-am as well. I'm sure $$$ is going to be large, but if interested I will forward his info to you. These things were scary fast out of the box. Blew the doors of the vetts of the same year, go into the mountains an scare a testarossa in the corners. Wish I had the cash, as these are only 1 of a handfull ever built. Sigh.

Want's to talk to serious buyers only, said will work out the price with whoever buy's it. I don't think they're going to be cheap.(he has 3 one of them is the G.M prototype race car with doc's and test mule tags)
There is a guy in the Gainsville Georgia named Milton Robson that has quite a collection of cars including the only 1992 Trans Am Firehawk convertible. He ordered the car new. It has been features in a few magazines. See the links below for a couple write-ups on Milton and his cars. The first one is his "garage". It's only 26,000 sq ft. The second link mentions his Firehawk. I was fortunate enough to get to see his collection a few years ago. James
I would say judging by the lack of response on both my GTA's at fire sale prices I don't think this is the time to try and get big bucks for any T/A. I know the Firehawks are rare and i would love to have one, but the collectors don't seem to be enamored with 3rd gen F body cars.......yet.
Then he is dreaming in technicolour! I would say that if you could find the absolute hard core early Firehawk collector who had to have the car for it's "historical significance", you might, I emphasize might, be able to get something like $25K at B-J or Mecum, around here it is a $15K car at best. Here's why.
1) Third gens, no matter what has been done to them, just don't bring big bucks. Maybe that will change some day in future, but that is the reality today.
2) The performance is nothing spectacular by today's standards. Take any 4th gen F body with an LS motor, do heads, cam, exhaust and tuning and it will spank that Firehawk easily. I have friends who have had BONE STOCK LS powered 4th gens run in the high 12's. Garden variety C5s will do the same thing.
3) My own F body as an example. 1997 Z28 convertible (which I have dumped way to much money into) Engine bored and stroked to 396 CID (nice number, eh?) LT4 top end, FLP headers, 3" exhaust. Dynoed 390HP at the rear wheels. LS brakes, frame connectors, Spohn performance control arms, torque arms, Koni adjustable shocks, Torsen - II posi, the list goes on and on. I don't profess to be the best driver in the world but even I have been able to wring out a 12.8 @ 110 with it, I'm sure a good driver could do a bit better. My car is one of 297 Z-28 convertibles sold in Canada for the 1997 model year, and 1 of only 65 equipped with the 6 speed manual tranny. I have added an SS hood and the car is immaculate with just over 100,000 km on it. I would be lucky as hell to get $15K for it, market is probably $10-12K right now. Dat's the fact, Jack!
I have belonged to the two biggest F body clubs in Ontario for last decade and am on a number of F body boards as well.
Tell this guy to run his cars through a couple of auctions with no reserve and let's see what happens.

Your right Hillar, sad but true, time marches on and these cars are not appreciating at all. I've owned quite a few F body cars because I like 'em. Still have 3. My 79 T/A is in excellent condition, but will still be a money losing car when I sell it. Both my GTA's are at the price point of being better off parted out with not much chance of getting worth more down the road. I had a 4th gen 95 Z28 6 speed that was faster than any of the previous ones and that's the way it should be.
