68 2+2 Conv. 427 4 speed

If you are looking for a project, here it is....

Better check out those numbers before buying.....

http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-1968-pontiac-parisienne-2-2-Convertible-W0QQAdIdZ250122521

It does have the 2+2 gills, looking for the 427 badges, seem missing in action.

Worth a look over the holidays. smile

Wow! Fred, any idea how many were made? That's quite a project but you'd have a beautiful car when you were finished.

30-40 grand would get you started...

Remember,  if they made 12,000 of them, there would still only be 2 left in Canada (salt-rust)  biggrin

Pretty significant car if it is the real deal.

12 with a L36 427 and even less with a four speed.

Would be great if someone on the forum picked it up.

It's a rare factory original, but, would you be better off building a clone?

you are probably right,   but, where do you get a body?   To have a good body man rebuild all the panels will cost min.. 10 grand..
Do you get a southern body, and put it on a southern Chevy frame, and modify the different american sections to make a rust free car?  original or clone or parts of both will be very expensive.....when you are done whats it worth?  1 of 1 or 1 of 2 or 1 of 3 or 1 of 4    will it appraise at your cost?    big questions   you got to have a real love for that model...

Agreed. If you call a guy selling a car and he has no posted price, what is your first question to him every time.......?

Oh, so there is another one known then.... Not like that takes away from the value but I wondered if another even existed.

Often, long ago, people parted out rare cars like this for the powertrain.

Crazy not too. That's a lot of money for a car missing it original drive train.

How many '68 2+2 Coupes with the 427 Fred?

Any breakdown between 4 speed and automatics?

What about regular Parisiennes and Grand Parisiennes with this engine?

For sure a rare car, one would have to take a closer look at the rest of her.  Hard to believe offered $13,500 and turned it down.  But like what has been said, go try and find one.
