Hey guys, its been a while...I am still plugging away at the 70 Parisienne Convertible.
Couple of questions for you...
1. would a front disc brake conversion for a 70 Impala bolt right on ?
2. I know this is the chassis forum BUT.... My car has a chevy 350 in it (don't know if its original but I hope..... anyway, changing the oil pan gasket, I would like to do a 1 piece gasket. Do you know if I need a thick or thin front seal on this engine? (I haven't removed it yet since I will probably be ordering it on-line)
Thanks guys

'69-'70 impala disc brakes and spindles will fit. check out mark's(cdnpont) sticky on brakes, excellent info. fel pro makes a nice 1 piece pan gasket/seal, pn OS 34510 T
Depends on the kit. There are several kits for 65-68 with the smaller hubs, that have bolt on caliper brackets. Not sure about the 69-70 kits, whether they have bolt on brackets. 69belair is right, the best conversion is the 69-70 single piston OEM spindles & calipers. They were standard equipt on the 70 Caprice and Impala custom coupes, & fairly common on 69 Chev Caprice, and 69-70 Caprice & Parisienne wagons. I've been lucky enough to acquire 3 sets for each of my big cars, plus a spare setup for a 65 -70 wagon or 2 door post that I don't yet own.
