Colour should be nice, Ascot Silver is what appears to be the paint code. Almost a light anthracite or darker silver.

Went to a fund raiser last night.Sometimes life is crazy, with everything else going on in life, my life long bud had an accident in his sprint car a few weeks back. Was in induced coma for a couple of weeks in the US and was brought home about a week ago. Took him off the induced meds and is still in a coma. Every day is a tough day....waiting to hear. Just feeling a bit down right now. Get well soon bud!

Sorry to hear about this. I've been struggling to deal with a friend of mine who was just diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. He is the poster child for living a healthy lifestyle but that doesn't seem to matter. He's been told he has "weeks to months" to live. He's lost a lot of weight and is now experiencing pain.

we never know what might be around the next corner. Hopefully he pulls out of the coma.

Yes you could say that. 28 years ago today actually, it all changed. Was given a 25% chance of making it through the night and IF I survived the treatment would be doing good to make 5 years. I don't take well to being told what I can't do so I'm still here. Cancer free 28 years..

It must be anniversary day! 27 years ago we laid my mom to rest, one of the most wonderful women the world has ever known (in my mind anyway!)

Good for you Dan, congrats on the 28 bonus years. Keep it up!

Good on you, Dan. 31 years ago on July 2, 1986 for me. As Winston Churchill said during the darkest days of WW II, " Never, Never, Never give up"! That applies to the bastard, cancer! Sure does change your outlook. I, like you don't take a doctor's opinion for gospel. We are doing OK, Buddy!

By the way, my Daddy gave me the middle name of Winston in honor of the great man.

Fred

After having a set of back up lights sitting on the shelf for the last 6-8 years, I finally decided to install them this weekend during our 30 drops of rain.  Needed a small addition to the wiring harness across the trunk so found a 66 Caddy in pick n pull today that gave me a couple of the ends that I needed.  I had 5 complete wiring harnesses at home here with none of them having the ends I wanted.  Just a small thing in the big picture but my car came as bare bones as it could have been so now as I've gotten old I will give people a little more warning what my intentions are.

Out of curiosity, was the harness there from front to back? You just had to plug in at the back?

And how about at the safety switch? All from scratch, or was there some wiring there already?

Yes, everything was to the back to the trunk at the driver's side. Just had to plug in there and go across to pick up the 2 lights.
