Period correct air cleaner for a 283 in a 1959


looking to buy ai correct looking air cleaner for my 1959 Parisienne with a 283

Not sure what is correct for the Cdn Pontiac, but Chevies of this era had a flat base and the top had the snorkel and sat on the base. The 2 barrel and the 4 barrel looked the same, they just had a different base to fit the carb.

the correct one is like on the picture I just posted of a 283 in a Canadian 1960 Pontiac.

 Canadian Pontiacs were opposite in '64 from Chev. A flat top and a "can" with the snorkel incorporated into it. Here's a '64:

According to the info above, I would say this is correct for a 64 or later. I am looking for the round shaped snorkel.

 That's the same as my 59 El Camino 283 4 barrel. It would just have the 2 barrel base. I think the same for several years.

 I have one of these from a 63, pretty sure its a 2 barrel, don't think a 283 came with a 4 barrel in 63, but I haven't had it off the motor yet.
